CROSSING ANOTHER MILESTONE 

Great Achievement in Robotics 

Dhairya and his team won FLL North India Championship and got selected for international FLL which was held in USA (DETROIT). There they stood 8th out of 106 teams and also scored 98 out of 108. This is the first time any Indian team has scored such high marks at World Festival.

MV Speaker of the Year 2019

Our sparkling Goenkans participated in the event MV Speaker of the Year 2019. With their utmost proficiency, they appeared in the various facets of competitions and fruitfully achieved magnanimous honor under the theme ‘The Great Indian Fauna’.

Peshl Kumar, VIII-A, with her magnificent efforts secured the First position in the MV Speaker of the Year 2019 in the High School Champ Category.

Global Chess Foundation and Bengal Chess Association

Rishab Kumar II-E. He has secured second position in Nationals under seven open 2019 Chess Tournament organized by Global Chess Foundation and Bengal Chess Association from 1^st to 6^th June 2019.

Aneesh Gogia II-B

He has become the Brand Ambassador of HoverRobotix. It is the first company that brought the Concept of Electric Hoverboards, e-mobility robots and personal electric scooters to India.

Our little Goenkans went for an interschool competition at Vikas Bharti School. They took part in Hindi poem recitation competition and bagged Second position, proving the metal of their creativity and agility.

“Goenkas Shine at Speaker of the Year 2018- National Finale”

Students of our School bagged many positions in different categories in the National Finale of Speaker of the Year Contest held at National Science Center on 19^th January, 2019. Shreya Sharma of class IX bagged First Postion in High School Champ, Avishi Sachdeva of class IV bagged Second Position in Kids Champ and Maahi Gupta of Class XI bagged Second Position in Senior Champ Categories bringing Laurels and Accolades for the school. Sanya Dhingra received a Trophy for Online Impact. Shaurya Malik of Class IV, Arush Jain and Soven Singhal of Class IV, Aanya Rawal of Class IX and Sujeet Baloda of Class X bagged Consolation Prize for their excellent Oratory Skills.

Twenty students had qualified for this Final Round out of 160 students who had participated in the Event. Around 50 schools had participated in the event and these three Goenkans carved a niche for themselves by performing brilliantly in Panel Discussion and Jam Session. One Hour Interactive Session with the Youth Icon, Deepa Malik, the first Indian woman to win a medal in Paralympic Games, inspired the students by narrating real life examples of heroism and perseverance. An interesting and enriching Dance Workshop by the renowned Choreographer, Atul Mehtani, had been organized for the students.

This Contest was unquestionably productive as the students got the opportunity to express their perspectives on Great Indian Inventions and enhance their Oratory Skills on this amazing and edifying platform.

Winners at National Science Centre

Goenkans do it again!!!

Goenkan students participated in n innovative competition “INSECT LIVE” organised by National Science Centre on 17th November , 2017. This competition was designed to motivate students about the insects, their life cycle and their economic importance for us. Our students Reva and Vanshita of Class IX & Advika and Mansi of class XI participated in it. They arranged an insect “Mexican Red Rump Tarantula” and researched on it regarding its internal and external anatomy. They focussed mainly on the existence, threats to the species and also studied over the economic importance of the tarantula for us.

Out of 133 participating teams, our students secured 3rd and 4th positions in the competition.

G.D. Goenka Public School, Rohini, Sector -22, organised ELECTICKA – An inter school fest on 30th November, 2017.

Khushi Jain (VIII C) and Niharika (VIII C) won the II prize in Scroll Painting on the theme – Panchtantra.

Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura had orgainsed REDISCOVER- An Inter School Fest. Goenkan students won laurels at the fest. The winners are:

Winnings at DAV School

On Friday, 21st April, 2017 Goenkans made us proud by winning laurels in various categories in Inter School Competitions held at DAV Schoo, Model Town. The Details are:

1.  Fairy Garden – First position by Shreya and Suryansh of class 8C

2. Sprinkle word with Imagination – 3rd position by Parul of 3A and Devina Manchanda of 3F .

National Level French Olympiad

Competition motivates and drives people to excel, and enables people to learn and benefit from their strengths and weaknesses.

So here again Goenkan brought laurels to the school. It was brilliant performance in National Level French Olympiad(2017-18) by Goenkans. It was online exam of 60 questions.

• Kashika Sethi of 7 b got 100% in 5 mins.
• Bhavya Matta of 6 b got 100% in 5 mins And 
• Arnav singh of 6 A got 100% in 5 mins.

The Goenkan team added another feather in the cap by winning laurels at Zonal Sports and cultural meet organised by DOE. The  goenkans bagged 9 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals, 13 Bronze Medals and 4 sheilds at different positions.

On 24th August,2016, the SPACE India had organised and Inter School Debate Competition at Sachdeva Global School , Dwarka. Prapann Nagpal of Class VII B was declared as the BEST SPEAKER and was awarded cash prize of Rs. 2000/-  and was recorded online for radio show.

AIASC: An unforgettable experience

The space is a true work of art. The way stars, asteroids and other heavenly bodies stretch across the endless black void seems almost magical. Its unpredictability and grandeur add to its aura of mystique. Our recent experience with the AIASC(All India Asteroid Search Campaign) organised by Space foundation has certainly left us spellbound.

The wonderful campaign opened doors of opportunities for us beyond our imagination. We were equipped with spectacular software Astrometrica for our mission and given proper information for its usage the previous year at a special session. Under the watchful eyes of our formidable co-ordinator, Ms. Jyoti Chadha, we searched for asteroids with baited breaths and crossed fingers.

We discovered a Near Earth Object (NEO) and were overwhelmed by the joy of knowing. The feeling of discovery made us feel infinite and unbeatable.  The programme came to an end in July, leaving memories that would surely leave an imprint on us forever.

Our discovery was recognised and awarded by renowned scientist, Mr. Srikant Ojha in the Annual Space Meet on 29 April, 2016 bringing an end to a year filled with new knowledge and untouchable memories.

Two Students Advika Gupta of class IX and Manvi Rastogi of class X participated in a workshop on ‘Google’ Web Ranger organized at G.D. Goenka Public School Dwarka on January 28, 2016. They got first position in the quiz amongst 30 participating schools.

DELHI STATE ROPE SKIPPING CHAMPIONSHIP 2015

Delhi State Rope Skipping Championship 2015 was held at SM Arya Public School, West Punjabi Bagh on 1st September,2015. Our students participated and the Goenkan girls team in Under -14 category got the third position. The winners are:

FRENCH OLYMPIAD – 2015

Students from our school participated in a French Olympiad named “Romain Rolland”, an exam which gave them a platform to showcase their knowledge in French language and also gave them an opportunity to get a certificate from France. The exam was divided into two levels state level & national level. 61 students from our school participated in the state level out of which 16 students got selected for national level. The students were awarded certificates and medals for the same.

Zonal Chess Championship – 2015

Zonal Chess Championship was held at SKV School, A block, Jahangir Puri from 22nd to 24th August 2015. Our School’s Sub Junior Boys qualified for the inter-zonals. The position held at zonal level are :

DOE Zone 9 Badminton Championship

Zonal Badminton Championship conducted by DOE for Zone 9 was held in Ludlow Castle School, Civil Lines. Our school participated and won the Championship. The laurel was brought by Saumil dawar (10B) , Pranay Aggarwal (11B), Mansanjam Singh (11B), Siddharth Arora (11B) and Nitin (11B).

Pranay Aggarwal and Saumil Dawar also qualified for Interzonal Championship.
