Capacity Building Programme, Topic “ Life Skills Advance” Date: Sat, Oct 26, 2024
The Capacity Building Programme on Life Skills for Teachers, organized at GD Goenka Public School Model Town, aimed to enhance educators’ ability to foster essential life skills in their students. Recognizing the crucial role teachers play in shaping students’ personal and social competencies, the programme focused on equipping them with effective strategies and tools.
The resource person Ms. Akanksha introduced innovative approaches for integrating life skills into the curriculum. The Programme helped to improve teachers’ own life skills, including communication, resilience, and problem-solving. The session empowered the teachers to create an interactive and supportive classroom environment and to encourage collaboration among teachers.
The programme was conducted for the whole day Covering topics such as emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and fostering creativity. Engaging activities were taken up that modeled life skills teaching techniques.
It provided Opportunities for teachers to share experiences and best practices. Guidance was given on creating lesson plans that incorporate life skills.
The programme engaged 40 teachers from various educational levels, including primary and secondary. The hands-on approach allowed for immediate application of skills in the classroom. The supportive atmosphere encouraged sharing and learning from peers.
The Capacity Building Programme on Life Skills for Teachers successfully met its objectives, enhancing educators’ capabilities to promote life skills in their students. With continued support and refinement, such initiatives can significantly contribute to the holistic development of both teachers and students, ultimately leading to more effective educational outcomes.
