It is widely accepted that extracurricular activities are the best way of developing an individual’s personality and trimming down mental stress. A child can improve his/ her skills and enhance their confidence level.

At Goenka, we firmly believe that textual studies are a part of the full development of a child and therefore we provide a spectrum of activities. The main thrust of activities here are planned and executed to promote the holistic development of the students. 


Diwali Celebration Report  Grade: I

Diwali, known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most important festivals in India, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. The students of class I celebrated Diwali with immense joy and excitement. The students dressed themselves in beautiful ethnic clothes, adding to the festive atmosphere and showcasing the rich cultural heritage. Glimpses of the Ramayana were depicted and the engaging performance captivated the students and provided a deeper understanding of the festival’s significance. Through this delightful enactment, the young audience not only enjoyed but also learned the values of bravery, kindness, and the victory of good over evil.

Students participated in fun and team building activities with lots of energy and excitement. They also showcased their creativity by making colourful diyas and lanterns.

Students also watched a module in which they were introduced to Diwali traditions, stories, and celebrations. The day concluded with a festive party, where students enjoyed sweets and snacks, sharing laughter and happiness. Overall, the Diwali celebration was a memorable experience that emphasized teamwork, creativity, and the joy of togetherness.


दिवाली उत्सव – कक्षा दूसरी व तीसरी

 इस दीवाली अपने सपनों को नई ऊँचाई दिलाएँ।”

जी डी गोयंका पब्लिक स्कूल मॉडल टाउन के प्रांगण में दीवाली के शुभ अवसर पर कक्षा दूसरी और तीसरी के विद्यार्थियों के लिए विभिन्न गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया। विद्यार्थियों ने पूरे उत्साह के साथ इन गतिविधियों में भाग लिया और दीवाली के महत्व को समझा। विद्यार्थियों की जानकारी को और बढ़ाने के लिए उन्हें दीवाली से संबंधित एक विशेष मॉड्यूल  भी दिखाया गया, जिसमें दीवाली के इतिहास, परंपराओं और त्योहार के धार्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक पहलुओं को सरल तरीके से समझाया गया। इसके साथ ही, एक क्विज का आयोजन भी किया गया, जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया। कक्षा दूसरी के विद्यार्थियों ने दीवाली के उपलक्ष्य में रंग-बिरंगे और सुंदर कार्ड बनाए, जिसमें उन्होंने अपनी रचनात्मकता का प्रदर्शन किया। इसके अतिरिक्त, कक्षा दूसरी व तीसरी के विद्यार्थियों के लिए दीवाली पर क्रिएटिव राइटिंग की गतिविधि भी रखी गई, जिसमें उन्होंने दीवाली से जुड़े अपने विचार और अनुभवों को शब्दों में व्यक्त किया। दीवली के अवसर पर नो बैग डे  भी रखा गया, जिससे विद्यार्थियों को पढ़ाई से हटकर रचनात्मक कार्य करने का अवसर मिला। इस प्रकार, दीवाली के अवसर पर जी डी गोयंका पब्लिक स्कूल के विद्यार्थियों ने विभिन्न रचनात्मक और शैक्षिक गतिविधियों में भाग लेकर त्योहार की खुशियों को साझा किया और भारतीय संस्कृति के प्रति अपनी आस्था को मजबूत किया।


Traffic Rule Activity Grade-1

“Look left and right, stay safe day and night.”

Objective: To teach the road safety rules at a very early age to perform safer behavior in the later life.

 “Follow the traffic rules and be safe as know safety means No accident”

Children are at significance risk on our roads, education about traffic rules plays an important role in shaping the behavior & attitude of children, ensuring that they became responsible passengers, pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. To make the students aware about traffic rules, students of Grade 1 presented their class assembly on traffic rules Our young learners also described different traffic signs ,safety measures and they did the same by melodious rhymes also. Followed by Ganesh Vandana .Through the assembly, kids successfully conveyed the message that SAFETY COMES FIRST.

Proper punctuation is the sign of clear thinking. Instant recognition of punctuation symbols is vital to the teaching and learning of the correct use of punctuation in reading and writing. Keeping this in mind our little Goenkans of CLASS- 1 did the activity Punctuation Park, where they enjoyed with beautiful plaque cards of various punctuation marks and learnt their proper usage. Not only they learnt the usage but added meaning, style and voice of their own in the sentence, by recognising how punctuation marks alter the sentence and its meaning.


Janmashtami Celebration Grade-I

Lord Krishna was a source of immense knowledge, wisdom and love. His birth was more than a miracle for society. Janmashtami is one of the important Hindu festivals celebrated for the birth of Lord Krishna. To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at G.D. Goenka Public School Model Town on 23rd August, 2024 with mirth and joy. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, our Goenkans did many fun filled activities. The students came dressed up as Lord Krishna, and Radha.   Modules and videos were shown to the students to make them aware of the preachings of Lord Krishna. They participated enthusiastically in activities and role play. The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educating.


Special Activity Independence Day Grade-I

“Let your dreams fly as high as our national flag on Independence Day.”

  • PAPER TEARING AND PASTING

Students have done the tearing and pasting activity using tri-color sheets to create the flag of India. It helped  the children to develop their fine motor skills, which are crucial for writing and other precise hand movements and also make them  understand the significance of the Indian flag, its colours (saffron, white, and green), and what they represent.Activities like this helped the students to instill a sense of patriotism and pride in their country.

  • SLOGAN NARRATION ACTIVITY

The slogans by our great freedom fighters encapsulate the essence of historical struggles for independence. The students of Grade-I actively participated in the slogan narration activity ensuring that the memory and contribution of freedom fighters are not forgotten. Also, engaging the students with these slogans allow them to explore the values of freedom, justice and equality that are central to these powerful messages. Moreover, it helps students in developing a sense of identity and continuity with their nation’s past.


Independence Day Week Celebration Grade- III

The students of Grade 3 were a vibrant showcase of their patriotism and creativity in the activities conducted to celebrate Independence Day. The students participated enthusiastically in three events: a patriotic dance competition, a speaking activity titled & “Voice of Valor” and a craft session focused on creating Independence Day headgears.

The dance performances were a highlight, with students beating their feet to the tunes of patriotic songs. Their coordination, energy, and bright costumes captivated the audience, demonstrating their dedication and nationalism towards the country.

In the Voice of Valor segment, students delivered patriotic lines with confidence and clarity. Their heartfelt recitations reflected their understanding of national pride and public speaking skills.

During the craft session, students created Independence Day headgears. The craft activity allowed them to express their creativity and work collaboratively, that added a special touch to the celebrations.

Overall, the activities were a testament to the students, enthusiasm and growing sense of patriotism. Their participation in these events highlighted their artistic talents and commitment to celebrating their country’s values.


Independence Day Week Celebration Grade- II

As part of the Independence Week celebrations, our school engaged students in creative activities that fostered teamwork and deepened their understanding of this historic day. The celebrations beautifully combined arts, music, and reflection, capturing the essence of patriotism and the joy of freedom.
The week commenced with a special Grade 2 assembly, filled with enthusiasm and patriotism. It began with an insightful introduction to Independence Day, followed by a prayer for the nation’s peace and prosperity. Students shared key facts and stories about India’s journey to freedom, reflecting on the struggles and triumphs that led to independence. The highlight was a captivating performance blending dance, music, and drama, celebrating the spirit of freedom and diversity. Students were also honoured with position certificates for their achievements in the Nutri Palette class competition. The event concluded with the National Anthem, instilling a deep sense of pride and responsibility in everyone present.
In addition to the assembly, another fun activity was when Grade 2 students created vibrant kites as part of the festive crafts. These kites, adorned with patriotic colours and symbols through paper tear, served as a creative expression of the students’ love for their country. The activity was not only a fun way for the students to showcase their creativity but also a meaningful connection to the importance of Independence Day.
Another highlight of the celebrations was the ‘Medleys of Azaad Bharat’ competition, presented by the students of Grade 2. The competition was a heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters who paved the way for India’s independence. The songs performed by the students were both energetic and emotional, reflecting the diverse aspects of the freedom struggle. From rousing anthems that filled the air with patriotic fervour to soulful tributes to the sacrifices of our heroes, the medley captivated everyone present.
Throughout the week, these activities not only provided the students with a platform to showcase their talents but also instilled in them a deeper appreciation for the nation’s history and the significance of Independence Day. It was a week filled with learning, reflection, and celebration, ensuring that the spirit of patriotism remains alive in the hearts of the young generation.


International Tiger Day Grade- II 

Tigers are the stripes of our wild world. Let’s keep their stripes shining bright by protecting them
International Tiger Day is observed every year on July 29 to promote conservation of the tiger’s natural habitat and raise awareness about tiger conservation. The theme of the 2024 International Tiger Day is Call for Action.
This year’s theme highlights the importance of concerted efforts from the global community to save the endangered Tiger species on earth. Students of grade II created beautiful posters on Tiger Day. The students showcased their care, concern and the need to conserve tigers with their exemplary artistic skills. This initiative turned out to be extremely fruitful as the student’s developed sensitivity towards nature and wildlife. They learnt that it’s imperative not just to protect the Tigers but also preserve their natural habitat where they can roam, roar and rule. After creating their posters, students presented them to the class, sharing interesting facts about their Tigers.


Story Telling Competition Grade- III

Story telling is one of the most effective ways to communicate one’s thoughts. A story stays with the children much longer than facts or statistics as it is not a seemingly endless download of information but a never-ending journey of learning and understanding of the world around us.

A storytelling competition was organized to encourage creativity and public speaking skills among the students of Grade 3 on Wednesday, 07.08.2024. Students shared their stories that showcased their imagination and narrative abilities. The competition aimed to foster a love for literature and oral storytelling.

The young Goenkans presented a wide array of original stories with unique characters and settings. The storytelling competition was a resounding success, offering a platform for students to demonstrate their storytelling abilities and creativity.


House Club Competition–Nutri Palette Competition Grade- II 

” Healthy eating is a way of life, so it’s important to establish routines that are simple, realistic, and sustainable.”

Incorporating nutritious food into daily life is fundamental for maintaining a healthy body and mind. By emphasizing the importance of nutritious food, we can ensure a brighter, healthier future for children. To educate more about it – a competition was conducted for the students of grade II – Nutri Palette Competition on 31st July,24.

Students used their creativity and knowledge of healthy eating to create colourful and nutritious plates of food. It encouraged them to learn about healthy eating habits and to have fun while doing it.

Students explored their creativity while learning about healthy eating and enjoyed the activity and were excited to showcase their colourful and nutritious plates. The competition not only highlighted the importance of a balanced diet but also made learning about nutrition a fun and engaging experience.


Inter House Slogan Writing Competition Grade- III 2024-25  

Grade III organized an Inter-House slogan writing competition to raise awareness about global warming and the importance of saving the Earth. The event aimed to encourage students to express their thoughts creatively and promote environmental consciousness.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation. Each participant came up with a slogan on the theme “Global Warming and Save Earth.” The students were judged on the creativity, presentation and relevance of their slogans.
Along with the written slogans, many students also included drawings and illustrations to visually emphasize their messages. This added an extra layer of creativity and made the slogans more impactful.


Cultural Diversity Of India Activity Grade- III 2024-25  

“Art in India is as diverse as its culture, reflecting the unique blend of traditions, religions, and histories that span the subcontinent. Each region, with its distinct artistic heritage, contributes to the rich tapestry that is the cultural mosaic of India.”

Students of grade 3 created beautiful drawings on the topic of “Cultural Diversity of India.” Each artwork vividly showcases the unique traditions, festivals, and lifestyles from different regions of our country. Through their creativity, the students have celebrated the rich and colorful heritage that makes India so unique.

We are incredibly proud of their efforts and enthusiasm in exploring and representing the diverse cultures that form the fabric of our nation. Cultural diversity art drawing serves as a vivid celebration of the rich tapestry of human experiences and perspectives. Using vibrant colors, varied techniques, and symbolic imagery, the artwork encapsulates the beauty and strength found in diversity. It encourages viewers to appreciate and embrace the unique cultural identities that shape our world. By fostering a deeper understanding and respect for different cultures, this piece not only enriches our artistic landscape but also promotes harmony and unity within our global community.


The Magical Journey Of Water Activity Grade- II 2024-25  

On July 25, 2024, an interactive session the Magical Journey of Water was conducted for grade 2 students. The aim was to educate young children about the water cycle in an engaging and understandable way.

The session revolved around a fun and informative exploration of the water cycle, using visual aids, and hands-on activities to help students grasp the concept of how water moves through our environment. Water Cycle Wheel Craft Activity was organized for grade 2 students. Wherein, students created a water cycle wheel, illustrating each stage of the cycle with drawings and labels. The  students were given a brief review of the water cycle, explaining the stages: evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection.This hands-on activity reinforced the concepts discussed during the session. The Magical Journey of Water session successfully introduced grade 2 students to the water cycle in an interactive and enjoyable manner.

Understanding natural processes helps us appreciate how water cycles through our environment, supporting life on Earth. This simple yet effective activity engages students in learning about the water cycle and enhances their understanding through direct observation and participation.


Storytelling  Activity Grade- II 2024-25  

Storytelling is the heart of communication

Storytelling is a powerful tool that captivates children’s imagination and helps them learn in a fun and engaging way. Through stories, kids can explore different cultures, learn moral lessons, and develop empathy by seeing the world from various perspectives. By making connections between the characters and their own lives, children can better understand complex concepts and ideas. 

On July 24, 2024, a storytelling session was conducted for grade 2 students. The theme of the session was ‘Healthy and Junk Food’. The objective was to educate young children about the importance of healthy eating habits in an engaging and interactive manner.

The students were highly engaged throughout the session. They participated enthusiastically in the interactive activities and asked many questions about different types of food. The storytelling approach helped simplify complex concepts, making it easier for the children to understand the importance of making healthy food choices


Math Activity : Hop And Subtract Grade- II 2024-25

Through engaging activities and experiential learning, students gain a deeper understanding of math concepts by actively participating in hands-on experiences. Hands-on approach not only enhances their problem-solving skills but also fosters a greater connection between theoretical knowledge and everyday applications. 

To help Grade 2 students learn and grasp the concept of subtraction, an engaging activity was organized. Subtraction was introduced through number line concept, explaining how it helps visualize subtraction as moving backwards on the line. Students reviewed basic subtraction facts and were shown how to use the number line to solve them. Hop and Subtract game was conducted – where they had to “hop” along the number line to solve subtraction problems.

The subtraction activity using a number line drawn on the floor was a successful and interactive way for Grade 2 students to learn and practice subtraction. By visualizing and physically engaging with the number line, students gained a better understanding of the subtraction process and enjoyed the hands-on learning experience.


GRADE I/ STORY TELLING ON HEALTH AND HYGIENE / 2024-25

When we think of our childhood, the sweetest memory that comes to our mind is storytelling by our grandparents, parents, and teachers. The stories taught us about the good and bad and also had a hand in making us the people we are as grown-ups. GD Goenka Public School Model Town on 23.7.24 Tuesday, organised an activity ‘Story Telling on Health and Hygiene’ in which students learned the importance of health and hygiene in our lives with the help of props like hand puppets, real-life objects, flashcards.   . They have learned about the things that help us to keep our body clean and fit. Storytelling helps to ignite imagination and foster a love for learning new things. It also captivated young minds, encouraging creativity, enhance vocabulary and critical thinking.


Van Mahotsav GRADE 1 (2024-2025)

Nature is a tool to get children to experience not just the wider world, but themselves.” – Stephen Moss

Keeping this enlightening thought in mind, on 08th July 2024, our little Goenkans observed the tree planting festival ‘Van Mahotsav’.  The main idea behind celebrating this festival was to inculcate social accountability in students to protect the forests and practice eco-friendly ways to conserve the environment. Our young goenkans of the grade I eagerly engaged in a variety of activities held in their classes to admire our mother nature. To commemorate Van Mahotsav, various activities were conducted for grade I. Different activities related to the topic was taken up like thumb printing, slogan writing, planting a sapling, leaf zoo, environment yoga etc. Students were able to understand the purpose of celebrating Van Mahotsav is to spread awareness about the importance of forests, woodlands and trees in our lives. We celebrate Van mahotsav to continue promoting environmental awareness and to constantly remind us that we can protect the earth in our everyday lives as well. Van mahotsav is proof that even one person can make a global impact in a positive way.

 


NATURE CARNIVAL GRADE 2 (2024-25)

our second-grade class enjoyed a delightful and educational experience at Nature’s Carnival, an event designed to engage students with the wonders of nature through a series of interactive activities that integrated math and art. Throughout the day, students participated in various stations, each focusing on different aspects of the natural world and seamlessly blending learning with fun. he goal of this event was to enhance environmental awareness and encourage an appreciation for nature through diverse activities and initiatives.In Leaf Printing activity students selected leaves from various trees and shrubs, placing them under paper and using crayons to create beautiful imprints. This activity helped them appreciate the diversity of leaf shapes and textures.They also used rulers to measure the leaves and compare their sizes and made geometrical shapes on the floor integrating with math. Students counted the number of flowers or leaves on a particular type of plant. They explored geometric shapes in nature, such as the symmetry of flowers. Students can identify and sketch these shapes, discussing their properties and symmetry.

 

 


NATURE’S CARNIVAL GRADE 3 (2024-25)

 Nature’s Carnival, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal at GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL MODEL TOWN This event aimed to promote environmental awareness and appreciation for nature through various activities and initiatives.Nature Walk – Our school organized a nature walk with the aim of exploring the flora and learning about the natural environment. During the walk, children were engaged in various activities under the guidance of their educators. Children took notes on what they observed, creating a valuable hands-on learning experience.Leafy Geometrical Patterns Activity– This activity aimed to explore the diversity of leaf shapes and patterns found in nature. Students carried a variety of leaves collected from different trees and plants. They were encouraged  to observe the differences in shape, size, texture, and vein patterns of each leaf. The students were arranged in the groups and asked to make different geometrical shapes on the floor. The teacher posed a variety of questions to stimulate the students’ intellectual abilities and encourage brainstorming.Let’s Measure the Length of Plants- This activity aimed to measure the length of plants using cube blocks is an effective educational way. Students compared the length of different plants by joining cube blocks together, fostering critical thinking and observation skills. They noted the number of units they used for each plant. Through this activity, the teacher integrated elements of mathematics by engaging students in discussions about measurement. Character Charisma – This activity enabled students to learn about the distinct features of different leaves and trees in their surroundings. Students shared brief statements, interesting facts, and recited pieces related to nature and the environment.

वन महोत्सव भारत में प्रतिवर्ष जुलाई के पहले सप्ताह में मनाया जाने वाला एक प्रमुख पर्यावरणीय त्योहार है। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य वृक्षारोपण को बढ़ावा देना और पर्यावरण के संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाना है। इस अवसर पर कक्षा तीसरी के छात्रों के साथ वन महोत्सव पर चर्चा के पश्चात् प्रश्नोत्तरी गतिविधि आयोजित की गई | प्रश्नोत्तरी में वृक्षों के महत्व और संरक्षण के उपायों से संबंधित प्रश्न पूछे गए। प्रतियोगिता का उद्देश्य छात्रों में पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाना और उन्हें अधिक जानकारी प्रदान करना था । छात्रों ने इस गतिविधि में बहुत ही उत्साहपूर्वक हिस्सा लिया |

 

 


CELEBRATING  HOLISTIC LEARNING ANNUAL DAY( 2024-25)

 The school hosted its Annual Event for Primary and Senior Wing at Siri Fort Auditorium to create a dynamic and vibrant learning environment for students to explore their potential, face challenges, learn from their experiences, and grow as multifaceted individuals.

The event accentuated the circle of Life through the Musical Bonanza- “Lion King” -a timeless tale of courage, friendship, resilience. Students embarked on an enchanting journey through the Pride Lands captivating  the audience, the gratified parents with the enduring lessons of leadership, importance of embracing one’s identity and acceptance of the powerful truth: no matter how dark the night may seem, the dawn will always break, bringing with it the promise of a new day

‘Heritage Hues’-the cultural extravaganza, was a   vibrant celebration of the rich cultural tapestry of India, wrapped in its myriad cultures and traditions, showcasing its diverse traditions through various performances and presentations by the Senior students. The charismatic and edifying event portrayed the rich heritage, traditions, and customs of various regions across the country. The Event was a cultural odyssey, beginning with the graceful pirouettes of Western Ballet and traversing through the vibrant beats of Rajasthan’s Kachhi Ghodi, Ghoomer, and Kalbelia dances.

The efficacious event was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering an appreciation for a comprehensive approach to education, focusing on multiple facets of a child’s growth rather than just academic achievement. Nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of each child, ensuring they grow not only academically but also emotionally, socially, and physically, creating a well-rounded individual who is prepared to thrive in all aspects of life, has been the motto of the school.

EARTH DAY GRADE I  ( 2024-25)

 “We are the guardians of this beautiful planet, and we are responsible for its care.”

April 22, celebrated as Earth Day was initiated to inspire all to rejoice and cherish   the beautiful planet and to awaken the people on how they can be an asset in saving the Earth from pollution, global warming, water scarcity and other several concerns. The day commenced with Earth Day Module – “Rethinking our relationship with the planet” about the importance of the Earth Day and the students made a pledge note to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet. Our little Goenkans of Grade 1 also made Blue badges to share the messages of Earth day in a creative way. The Earth day celebration was a success in raising awareness about environmental issues and inspiring students to take action to protect our planet.

पृथ्वी दिवस हर साल 22 अप्रैल को मनाया जाता है । जी डी गोयंका पब्लिक स्कूल मॉडल टाउन के विद्यार्थियों ने इस दिवस को 22 अप्रैल से 24 अप्रैल तक बहुत ही हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया |  धरती माता के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारियों को फिर से स्थापित करने के लिए, सोमवार 22 अप्रैल, 2024 को कक्षा दूसरी के छात्रों के लिए पृथ्वी दिवस पर एक विशेष कार्यक्रम रखा गया , जिसमें यह संदेश फैलाया गया कि ग्रह की देखभाल करना और इसके मूल्यवान संसाधनों की रक्षा करना सभी की सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है । छात्रों को यह भी बताया गया कि धरती माता को कैसे पुनःस्थापित किया जाए और इसके लिए क्या उपाय किए जाएँ । सत्रों के दौरान छात्रों के साथ पृथ्वी दिवस विषय से संबंधित प्रतिज्ञा कार्ड  व  पेड़ लगाओ पंक्तियाँ जैसी गतिविधियाँ की गईं । स्पष्टीकरण और बेहतर समझ के लिए छात्रों के साथ वीडियो लिंक भी साझा किए गए । छात्रों के लिए हिंदी प्रतियोगिता धरा सजाओ जीवन बचाओ प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया | प्रतियोगिता का मुख्य उद्देश्य पर्यावरण संरक्षण को प्रोत्साहित करना था । बच्चों को प्रेरित करना था कि वे अपने पर्यावरण की देखभाल करें और साइकिल चलाना, वृक्षारोपण, प्लास्टिक उपयोग को कम करने जैसे सामाजिक क्रियाएँ शुरू करें। प्रतियोगिता ने छात्रों में पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाई । इस प्रतियोगिता में बच्चों ने बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लिया I  इस प्रकार की प्रतियोगिताएँ छात्रों को बचपन से ही पर्यावरण संरक्षण के महत्त्व को समझाती हैं, जिससे वे बचाव और संरक्षण के लिए सक्रिय बनते हैं । इस प्रकार के कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन करने से छात्रों में उत्साह और सामाजिक जागरूकता का विकास होता है। छात्र हमारी धरती माता को पुनःस्थापित करने और स्वस्थ ग्रह बनाने के तरीकों को बनाने में सक्षम थे ।‘आइए अपने ग्रह की रक्षा के लिए मिलकर काम करना जारी रखें और हर दिन को पृथ्वी दिवस बनाएँ ।’

EARTH DAY  GRADE II (2024-25)

April 22, celebrated as Earth Day was initiated to inspire all to rejoice and cherish the beautiful planet Our young goenkans of the grade II eagerly engaged in a variety of activities held in their classes to admire our nurturing Mother Earth. To commemorate Earth Day, various activities were conducted for grade II. Pledge card making and Slogan Writing  activities related to the topic was taken up. Students were able to list the ways of restoring our mother earth and create healthy planet and were made aware that ‘EVERY DAY IS AN EARTH DAY’ and the purpose of celebrating Earth Day is to keep our grass green and our skies blue with more trees and less pollution. We celebrate Earth Day to continue promoting environmental awareness and to constantly remind us that we can protect the earth in our everyday lives as well. Earth Day is proof that even one person can make a global impact in a positive way     ‘Let’s continue to work together to protect our planet and make every day Earth Day.’


EARTH DAY GRADE III (2024-25)

EARTH DAY is celebrated around the world with a beautiful message – “Our continuing efforts in our everyday lives will make this beautiful planet thrive.”

Earth Day is a proof that even one person can make a global impact in a positive way. Echoing the same, students of Grade III celebrated ‘The Earth Day’ week from 22nd April to 24th April, 24. Students had participated in Pledge Card making activity reflecting on their personal commitments towards environmental conservation and sustainability. They wrote the pledges and took concrete actions to protect the planet and raise awareness about the environment. Inspiring videos were also shown to the students to make them aware about how to be the guardians of Mother Earth. To bring out the creativity and poetic instincts of the students, an English Poem Recitation Competition was conducted on the occasion. Children recited poems about the beauty of the earth and the conservation of Mother Earth. Students proved that they not only excel in academics but also exhibit their skills through their creative presentations.

 Environmental awareness is a journey of discovery, learning, and action. It’s about realizing that the Earth is not an infinite resource and that we must take care of it for the sake of our own survival and the well-being of future generations.  
 Students portrayed a play which was a reminder on the importance of conservation and the impact of human actions on the natural world. Students encouraged everyone to consider the consequences of deforestation and to take action to protect the environment through play, songs and dance performances. There was 100% participation from all the three sections. The students performed with great enthusiasm and energy.
