It is widely accepted that extracurricular activities are the best way of developing an individual’s personality and trimming down mental stress. A child can improve his/ her skills and enhance their confidence level.
At Goenka, we firmly believe that textual studies are a part of the full development of a child and therefore we provide a spectrum of activities. The main thrust of activities here are planned and executed to promote the holistic development of the students.
Mini AI Grind Activity
In accordance with the CBSE circular, G.D. Goenka Public School, Model Town successfully conducted the Mini AI Grind Activity on 21 January 2026. The activity provided students with an enriching, hands-on learning experience, enabling them to explore the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence beyond classroom learning. The initiative aimed to foster curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and innovative thinking in an engaging and meaningful manner.
To ensure effective participation, orientation sessions were thoughtfully organized during the preceding week. These sessions acquainted students with the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence, the ideathon framework, and the objectives of the activity. Students were guided using A3-size prototypes and were encouraged to articulate their solutions based on the given themes.
Approximate 530 students from Grades 6 to 9 and 11 participated with great enthusiasm and active involvement. Working both individually and collaboratively, they brainstormed ideas, identified real-life challenges, and translated their thoughts into impactful solutions. The ideathon witnessed a diverse range of innovative ideas and well-developed prototypes, showcasing students’ creativity, analytical skills, and growing technological awareness.
Students confidently presented their ideas, responded thoughtfully to queries, and demonstrated a clear understanding of the concepts involved. Their presentations reflected not only technical nowledge but also the development of effective communication skills and self-confidence.
Overall, the activity proved to be a valuable learning experience, encouraging collaboration, experimentation, and out-of-the-box thinking among students.
STEAM NEXUS FULL SPECTRUM INNOVATION – THE 3600 WAY. THE PATH TO VIKSIT AND ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT
The STEAM Exhibition was conducted on Saturday, 29th November, 2025. Full spectrum innovation served as a platform for students to showcase their scientific knowledge, creativity, and innovative ideas through working models, experiments, and presentations. The event was designed to encourage hands-on learning, foster curiosity, and highlight the role of science and technology in shaping the future.
The primary objectives of the exhibition were to:
- Promote scientific temper among students.
- Encourage innovation through practical projects and models.
- Highlight real-world applications of scientific principles.
- Integrate values of sustainability and responsibility into scientific exploration.
Event Highlights
Participation: Students from classes II to IX actively presented models, experiments, charts, and demonstrations.
Exhibits: Projects ranged from renewable energy prototypes, robotics, AI applications, eco-friendly innovations, and healthcare technologies.
Interactive Sessions: Students explained their projects to visitors, enhancing communication and presentation skills.
Audience: Parents, teachers, and peers attended, appreciating the creativity and effort of the participants.
The students showcased themes like Community Helpers, Road Safety, and Types of Houses. Children dressed as helpers introduced themselves and explained how they serve society. Safety Marshals demonstrated important traffic rules and road safety guidelines. Young learners enthusiastically participated by role-playing as everyday digital tools and smart devices such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, online games, smart wardrobes, pen drives, robots, and coding heroes. Students presented engaging skits on cyber safety and ethical digital behaviour, addressing topics like cyberbullying, responsible internet use, and online safety.
Special attention was drawn to cyber safety projects such as Cyber Safety Bioscope, Firewall
Models, Board Games, and Spin Wheels, which conveyed important messages in an interactive manner. Senior students presented a range of advanced, technology-driven projects that demonstrated real-world applications of computer science and artificial intelligence. The exhibits included VisionX Smart Glass for the Blind, Smart Waste Sorter, Line Follower Robot, and a Fire Fighting & Obstacle Clearance Robot, highlighting the use of robotics and Arduino for social and safety solutions. Programming-based projects such as the Fake News Detector and Health Tracker using Python showcased how data and lgorithms can address social and health concerns. The Smart City Model, Drone, Arduino-based Vending Machine, and City of Gods game developed on Roblox Studio reflected students’ creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills, making this segment of the exhibition highly impactful and futuristic.
In mathematics, the major exhibits were : Rain Garden – Math in Environmental Design where students displayed a rain garden model showing how mathematics helps calculate water runoff, soil absorption, slope, and area. Using geometry and volume formulas, they explained how rain gardens reduce floods and support eco-friendly city planning. Math in Robotic Surgeries, Math in Architecture, Models of bridges, towers, and buildings helped explain how architects use symmetry, ratios, trigonometry, load calculations, and geometric design to create strong and aesthetically balanced structures.
The exhibition successfully brought out the theme “Math – Driving Tomorrow.” Each model and presentation proved that mathematics is the foundation of future technology, city planning, health care, sports analytics, environmental protection, and communication. The event enhanced student creativity, teamwork, and confidence while highlighting the real-life importance of mathematics in the world ahead.
The central idea of the exhibition revolved around “Disaster Management, Smart Cities, Environmental Protection, and Sustainable Innovations for the Future.”
The Science Exhibition was a resounding success, reflecting the dedication of the Science Department and the enthusiasm of students. It not only celebrated scientific creativity but also emphasized the importance of innovation in shaping a better tomorrow. The event strengthened the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds with knowledge, values, and vision. Students demonstrated futuristic ideas aligned with the theme Full Spectrum Innovation. Participants enhanced critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. Visitors, including parents and teachers, were fascinated by how students used simple programming tools, microcontrollers, and innovative ideas to create advanced models.
The exhibition not only encouraged scientific thinking but also promoted teamwork, creativity, and hands-on learning—key components of STEAM education. Students learned to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations, making the event both educational and inspiring.
The STEAM Exhibition successfully highlighted the growing importance of artificial intelligence and robotics in modern society. It motivated students to dream bigger and pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
Basant Panchami and Republic Day Activity Grade: 2 and 3
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु विद्यारूपेण संस्थिता।

On the occasion of Republic Day and Basant Panchami, a speaking activity was conducted on January 23, 2026 Friday for the students of Grade 2 and Grade 3. The activity aimed to develop confidence, speaking skills, and awareness about our national and cultural values.
The students spoke confidently about the importance of Republic Day and expressed their thoughts through beautiful quotes and simple messages highlighting unity, freedom, and pride in our nation.
They also shared information about Basant Panchami, explaining its significance and the importance of Goddess Saraswati, the Veena, and the yellow colour, which symbolizes knowledge, positivity, and prosperity.
The activity was further enriched as students sang patriotic songs, devotional songs, and mantras, creating a joyful and meaningful atmosphere. Overall, the activity was engaging, informative, and successfully encouraged students to express their ideas with confidence and enthusiasm.
Basant Panchami and Republic Day Activity Grade: 1
Grade 1 celebrated Republic Day and Basant Panchami with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit through a series of meaningful activities conducted throughout the week. The celebrations were planned to help students develop an understanding of national pride, values, culture, and seasonal changes in a joyful and age-appropriate manner.
The week began with a teacher-led assembly on Republic Day, where teachers explained the importance of the day and why it is celebrated. Throughout the week, teachers shared one important word related to Republic Day each day, helping students gradually connect with the ideas and values associated with the nation.
Students participated actively in various creative and hands-on activities related to Republic Day. These included paper flag and badge making, tearing and pasting of the National Flag, and tricolour hand-printing on a national symbol. Students also came dressed in any one tricolour, which added colour and excitement to the celebrations.
As part of the celebrations, two assemblies were conducted. One was a teacher-led assembly conducted across sections, and the other was a student-led Republic Day assembly presented by grade 1E and 1A. The student assembly included meaningful speeches, a short role enactment highlighting the spirit of our freedom struggle, and a lively dance performance set to the song “Jai Ho” with a patriotic mashup of music. The confident participation of students, along with music, movement, and expressions, created a joyful and proud atmosphere. The assembly concluded with a pledge and a collective expression of national pride.
Along with Republic Day, Basant Panchami was celebrated to mark the onset of the spring season. Students were introduced to the significance of the festival and its association with new beginnings. Activities such as flower making and greeting card writing were conducted, where students wrote wishes for Basant Panchami. The importance of the colour yellow was highlighted through creative activities using yellow materials, symbolising positivity, learning, and growth.
Overall, the week-long celebration of Republic Day and Basant Panchami was engaging,, and meaningful. It provided students with opportunities to express themselves, participate confidently, and develop a sense of respect for the nation and its cultural traditions, making the celebrations memorable for all
Children’s Day Celebration Grade-I to III
The school celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and cheer to honour the spirit of childhood and to remember Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, whose love for children is fondly cherished across generations. The day was filled with laughter, joy, and engaging activities that made every child feel valued and special.
The celebration began with a special morning assembly wherein students and teachers gathered to discuss the significance of the day. The assembly highlighted the life and ideals of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Students learned about his affection for children and his vision for their bright future.
Post the assembly, students participated in an exciting colour-based competition. They came dressed in their favourite colour clothes and confidently spoke about why they liked that colour. The activity added a vibrant touch to the celebration as the classrooms came alive with a rainbow of hues and enthusiastic expressions.
The highlight of the day was a delightful story enactment by the teachers. The students watched in excitement as their teachers performed different characters coming alive from their textbook, filling the space with laughter and curiosity.
The fun continued with a lively freeze dance, where the students danced energetically to upbeat music and froze in amusing poses when the music stopped.Students enjoyed fun games and an interactive quiz organised by the teachers. They also made colourful Children’s Day badges and watched related videos. Later, the kids played outdoor games and spend time in the play zone. It was a joyful day filled with learning, laughter, and happy moments.
Later, the students enjoyed a class party, where they shared healthy snacks and spent happy moments with their friends.

Celebration Halloween Across Borders Grade-I
The students of Grade 1 celebrated Halloween Day with great excitement and enthusiasm on 31st October (Friday). It was a No Bag Day 👻, full of fun, learning, and creativity. Grade 1 students had a special Halloween role-play activity where the children came dressed up as different spooky characters like vampires, Dracula, skeletons, witches, and ghosts. Each child spoke a few lines about their character with great confidence and joy. It was wonderful to see how excited and happy they were to perform in front of their friends.
After the role-play presentations, the children enjoyed watching a Halloween-themed movie, which added to their excitement and made the day even more fun.
The teachers also explained the meaning and importance of Halloween in a simple and fun way. They shared that Halloween is celebrated every year on 31st October. On this day, people decorate their homes with pumpkins, lights, and spooky items. Children wear different costumes, go for trick-or-treating, and enjoy sweets and candies. The teachers told the students that Halloween is a time for fun, sharing, and using imagination.
They also discussed that Halloween teaches us not to be afraid of the dark or spooky things, but to enjoy the spirit of creativity and togetherness. The children learned new words like pumpkin, ghost, and trick-or-treat, and they listened with great interest.

Celebration Halloween Across Borders Grade-II
Halloween, celebrated on 31st October every year, is a fun-filled festival that marks the spirit of imagination, togetherness, and joy. It is a time when people around the world dress up in creative costumes, carve pumpkins, share candies, and enjoy the thrill of “trick or treat.”
To embrace this global celebration, the students of Class II participated in a Halloween-themed competition on 30th October 2025 with great enthusiasm and excitement. The classroom came alive with little ghosts, witches, pumpkins, and superheroes, all dressed in vibrant costumes, showcasing creativity and festive spirit.
As part of the competition, students spoke confidently about how Halloween is celebrated in different countries—Kenya, Poland, India, UAE, Canada, and the USA—and learned that while the traditions vary, the spirit of fun, friendship, and togetherness unites everyone. The activity not only celebrated diversity but also encouraged confidence, cultural awareness, and joy among the young learners.
The activity was a wonderful blend of learning and enjoyment, helping students appreciate global cultures while building confidence, creativity, and teamwork. The happiness on their faces truly made the day spooktacular! 👻
Chalo Jeete Hain Movie
As part of a CBSE values-based activity for Grades 2–3 on 29.09.25 Monday, students watched the inspirational short film Chalo Jeete Hain, which highlights the importance of living with purpose and helping others. Before the screening, students engaged in a heartwarming pre-movie activity where they made colorful thank-you cards and paper flower bouquets for the school’s helpers, expressing gratitude for their daily care and support. The children enthusiastically decorated their cards with kind messages and presented them personally, bringing smiles and appreciation to our support staff. The movie and activity together encouraged students to reflect on compassion, service, and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference, leaving them inspired to be more thoughtful and caring in their everyday lives.
Grandparent’s Day Celebration Grade-I
Grandparents are the footsteps to the future generations, the keepers of traditions, and the givers of unconditional love.
The students of Grade 1 presented a heartwarming celebration of Grandparents’ Day on 24th September 2025, blending culture, values, and creativity in a memorable way. The event was graced by the presence of grandparents, whose blessings and encouragement made the day truly special. The program began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, invoking divine blessings, followed by a soulful prayer and a melodious song dedicated to grandparents. The atmosphere was further elevated with a graceful Ganesh Vandana dance performance. Through short skits and cultural presentations, students beautifully conveyed values of obedience, wisdom and protection. A special message was shared on the importance of being alert and aware about good touch and bad touch, helping children understand the need to stay safe in life. Our respected Principal Ma’am shared her valuable words of wisdom. The cultural showcase culminated with an electrifying finale dance, where the entire atmosphere came alive with enthusiasm and joy. Parents and grandparents were also given the opportunity to share their heartfelt experiences and blessings, which added an emotional touch to the celebration. Their happiness in witnessing the performances of their grandchildren was truly moving.
The day was a beautiful reminder of the timeless bond between children and grandparents, as well as the importance of instilling strong values in our young learners.

“प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तित्व” प्रतिवेदन (कक्षा – पहली)
जी डी गोयंका पब्लिक स्कूल, मॉडल टाउन में 21 अगस्त 2025 को कक्षा पहली के विद्यार्थियों के लिए “प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तित्व – Character Enactment” प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। इस प्रतियोगिता में बच्चों ने स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, वैज्ञानिक/अंतरिक्ष यात्री, राजनीतिक नेता, खिलाड़ी और अन्य प्रेरक विभूतियों की भूमिकाएँ निभाईं जैसे – महात्मा गांधी, रानी लक्ष्मीबाई, डॉ. ए.पी.जे. अब्दुल कलाम, कल्पना चावला, चाचा नेहरू, सचिन तेंदुलकर, स्वामी विवेकानंद और मदर टेरेसा आदि।
आकर्षक वेशभूषा, प्रभावशाली संवाद और जीवंत अभिनय के साथ बच्चों ने मंच जैसी स्थिति में अपने-अपने पात्र को इस प्रकार प्रस्तुत किया कि कक्षा का वातावरण प्रेरणादायक और उल्लासपूर्ण बन गया। सभी बच्चे बढ़-चढ़कर इस प्रतियोगिता में सम्मिलित हुए और सुंदर तैयारी के साथ मंच पर आए। सहपाठियों और अध्यापिका ने तालियों से उनका उत्साह बढ़ाया वहीं अभिभावकों का सहयोग और मार्गदर्शन प्रतियोगिता की सफलता में अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण रहा।

The students of Grade II joyfully celebrated Earth Day in collaboration with English Week from April 21 to April 25, 2025.” The week was filled with engaging and meaningful activities aimed at raising awareness about environmental conservation while enhancing students’ English language skills.
Throughout the week, students enthusiastically participated in a variety of creative and educational activities that reflected the message of “Save Earth, Keep it Clean and Green.” Each activity was carefully designed to blend ecological responsibility with language development, making learning both impactful and fun. Students used vibrant colors and thoughtful messages to create eye-catching posters that promoted environmental awareness. The posters beautifully conveyed messages like reducing pollution, planting trees, and keeping our surroundings clean—all while using creative English captions and slogans. - Hand Impression Activity:

Celebration Earth Day Nature’s Call: The Earth Speaks SPEAKS Grade-III
To celebrate Earth Day on April 23rd, Grade 3 students at participated in a creative and meaningful speaking activity titled “Nature’s Call: The Earth Speaks.” This event was designed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet while encouraging students to express themselves through art and speech.
As part of the activity, each student selected an element of nature—such as trees, water, air, animals, or the Earth itself—and created a related prop using eco-friendly or recycled materials. Holding their handmade props, the young participants then took to the stage to deliver a few heartfelt lines, speaking as if they were that element of nature. With creativity and confidence, students spoke about the challenges their chosen element faces due to pollution, deforestation, and climate change. Many highlighted ways we can help heal the planet, such as recycling, planting trees, conserving water, and saying no to plastic. Their messages were thoughtful, impactful, and delivered with genuine concern for the Earth.
The activity not only nurtured public speaking skills but also deepened students’ connection with the environment. We are proud of our Grade 3 students for being young voices of change and reminding us all to listen when nature speaks.

On 29 April, 2025, the students of Grade-I enthusiastically participated in Rhyme and Shine activity wherein they framed their own poems using rhyming words. The objective was to enhance their vocabulary, creativity, and understanding of rhyme schemes. They began by identifying rhyming pairs and then used them to construct short, meaningful poems.
The activity encouraged self-expression and imaginative thinking. Many students came up with delightful verses, showcasing their budding talent and confidence in using poetic language.
