It is widely accepted that extracurricular activities are the best way of developing an individual’s personality and trimming down mental stress. A child can improve his/ her skills and enhance their confidence level.
At Goenka, we firmly believe that textual studies are a part of the full development of a child and therefore we provide a spectrum of activities. The main thrust of activities here are planned and executed to promote the holistic development of the students.
Chalo Jeete Hain Movie
As part of a CBSE values-based activity for Grades 2–3 on 29.09.25 Monday, students watched the inspirational short film Chalo Jeete Hain, which highlights the importance of living with purpose and helping others. Before the screening, students engaged in a heartwarming pre-movie activity where they made colorful thank-you cards and paper flower bouquets for the school’s helpers, expressing gratitude for their daily care and support. The children enthusiastically decorated their cards with kind messages and presented them personally, bringing smiles and appreciation to our support staff. The movie and activity together encouraged students to reflect on compassion, service, and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference, leaving them inspired to be more thoughtful and caring in their everyday lives.
Grandparent’s Day Celebration Grade-I
Grandparents are the footsteps to the future generations, the keepers of traditions, and the givers of unconditional love.
The students of Grade 1 presented a heartwarming celebration of Grandparents’ Day on 24th September 2025, blending culture, values, and creativity in a memorable way. The event was graced by the presence of grandparents, whose blessings and encouragement made the day truly special. The program began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, invoking divine blessings, followed by a soulful prayer and a melodious song dedicated to grandparents. The atmosphere was further elevated with a graceful Ganesh Vandana dance performance. Through short skits and cultural presentations, students beautifully conveyed values of obedience, wisdom and protection. A special message was shared on the importance of being alert and aware about good touch and bad touch, helping children understand the need to stay safe in life. Our respected Principal Ma’am shared her valuable words of wisdom. The cultural showcase culminated with an electrifying finale dance, where the entire atmosphere came alive with enthusiasm and joy. Parents and grandparents were also given the opportunity to share their heartfelt experiences and blessings, which added an emotional touch to the celebration. Their happiness in witnessing the performances of their grandchildren was truly moving.
The day was a beautiful reminder of the timeless bond between children and grandparents, as well as the importance of instilling strong values in our young learners.

“प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तित्व” प्रतिवेदन (कक्षा – पहली)
जी डी गोयंका पब्लिक स्कूल, मॉडल टाउन में 21 अगस्त 2025 को कक्षा पहली के विद्यार्थियों के लिए “प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तित्व – Character Enactment” प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। इस प्रतियोगिता में बच्चों ने स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, वैज्ञानिक/अंतरिक्ष यात्री, राजनीतिक नेता, खिलाड़ी और अन्य प्रेरक विभूतियों की भूमिकाएँ निभाईं जैसे – महात्मा गांधी, रानी लक्ष्मीबाई, डॉ. ए.पी.जे. अब्दुल कलाम, कल्पना चावला, चाचा नेहरू, सचिन तेंदुलकर, स्वामी विवेकानंद और मदर टेरेसा आदि।
आकर्षक वेशभूषा, प्रभावशाली संवाद और जीवंत अभिनय के साथ बच्चों ने मंच जैसी स्थिति में अपने-अपने पात्र को इस प्रकार प्रस्तुत किया कि कक्षा का वातावरण प्रेरणादायक और उल्लासपूर्ण बन गया। सभी बच्चे बढ़-चढ़कर इस प्रतियोगिता में सम्मिलित हुए और सुंदर तैयारी के साथ मंच पर आए। सहपाठियों और अध्यापिका ने तालियों से उनका उत्साह बढ़ाया वहीं अभिभावकों का सहयोग और मार्गदर्शन प्रतियोगिता की सफलता में अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण रहा।
यह प्रतियोगिता बच्चों के लिए सीख, प्रेरणा और आनंद से भरपूर एक यादगार अनुभव साबित हुई। इसने न केवल उन्हें आत्मविश्वास, स्पष्ट अभिव्यक्ति, अभिनय कौशल और रचनात्मक सोच विकसित करने का अवसर दिया बल्कि उनके व्यक्तित्व विकास और मूल्य शिक्षा में भी सार्थक योगदान दिया।
इस प्रतियोगिता का मुख्य उद्देश्य यह था कि बच्चे महान व्यक्तित्वों के जीवन, आदर्शों और योगदान से परिचित हों तथा साहस, सत्यनिष्ठा, देशभक्ति, सेवा-भाव, मेहनत और दृढ़ संकल्प जैसे गुणों को अपने जीवन में अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित हों।

Celebrated Earth Day-English Week Grade-II
The students of Grade II joyfully celebrated Earth Day in collaboration with English Week from April 21 to April 25, 2025.” The week was filled with engaging and meaningful activities aimed at raising awareness about environmental conservation while enhancing students’ English language skills.
Throughout the week, students enthusiastically participated in a variety of creative and educational activities that reflected the message of “Save Earth, Keep it Clean and Green.” Each activity was carefully designed to blend ecological responsibility with language development, making learning both impactful and fun. Activities Conducted:
- Poster Making:
Students used vibrant colors and thoughtful messages to create eye-catching posters that promoted environmental awareness. The posters beautifully conveyed messages like reducing pollution, planting trees, and keeping our surroundings clean—all while using creative English captions and slogans. - Hand Impression Activity:
The little ones expressed their love for Mother Earth by making colorful hand impressions, symbolizing unity and care for the planet. Each impression was accompanied by short English phrases or messages, adding a linguistic touch to the art. - Quiz Quest:
An interactive quiz based on environmental facts and English language skills was organized. Students showcased their knowledge about Earth Day, recycling, global warming, and more, while also improving their comprehension and vocabulary. - Slogan Speaking Activity – “Earth Speaks Through Us”:
In this expressive activity, students spoke powerful slogans related to Earth Day in English. It was heartening to see their confidence as they delivered impactful messages encouraging everyone to act responsibly toward nature.
The collaborative celebration of Earth Day and English Week was a grand success. It not only helped students understand their role in protecting the environment but also gave them an excellent platform to polish their English communication skills. The week was a perfect blend of environmental consciousness and language enrichment, making it a memorable and meaningful experience for all.
Celebration Earth Day Nature’s Call: The Earth Speaks SPEAKS Grade-III
To celebrate Earth Day on April 23rd, Grade 3 students at participated in a creative and meaningful speaking activity titled “Nature’s Call: The Earth Speaks.” This event was designed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet while encouraging students to express themselves through art and speech.
As part of the activity, each student selected an element of nature—such as trees, water, air, animals, or the Earth itself—and created a related prop using eco-friendly or recycled materials. Holding their handmade props, the young participants then took to the stage to deliver a few heartfelt lines, speaking as if they were that element of nature. With creativity and confidence, students spoke about the challenges their chosen element faces due to pollution, deforestation, and climate change. Many highlighted ways we can help heal the planet, such as recycling, planting trees, conserving water, and saying no to plastic. Their messages were thoughtful, impactful, and delivered with genuine concern for the Earth.
The activity not only nurtured public speaking skills but also deepened students’ connection with the environment. We are proud of our Grade 3 students for being young voices of change and reminding us all to listen when nature speaks.

Rhyme and Shine Activity Grade- I
On 29 April, 2025, the students of Grade-I enthusiastically participated in Rhyme and Shine activity wherein they framed their own poems using rhyming words. The objective was to enhance their vocabulary, creativity, and understanding of rhyme schemes. They began by identifying rhyming pairs and then used them to construct short, meaningful poems.
The activity encouraged self-expression and imaginative thinking. Many students came up with delightful verses, showcasing their budding talent and confidence in using poetic language. Overall, it was a joyful and educational experience that brought out the poet in every child. The classroom was filled with excitement and laughter as students discovered the joy of wordplay.
